A lovely day at bessie...

It's that horizon-less road after the last turn in Besant Nagar. It looks as though the road is endless and goes on and on. It's the Beach! As you remove your helmet after an hour of strenuous driving, the cool breeze fills your nostrils and makes you forget all the effort it took to reach the place. How many places possess this efficacy?? Especially in a place like Chennai where cool, cold, chill etc are considered to be untouchables as far as the weather is concerned, a beach always does give a lot of respite from the sweltering heat. Specifically if the trip is with friends, there is no reason not to enjoy the ambience.
A small intro about the other two guys who accompanied me..
Prasad - affectionately called as 'psycho' or may be he is one!! He can get high at times and start talking something that has no relevance at all ( probably the roots of calling him a psycho ). Fun to be with and nice to converse if you can make sense of what he is trying to say -- The Late Moopanaar's effect!! Sorry da.. I just couldn't resist the damage!!
Hari - We both are known for having great convos at odd times.. say on exam nights!! One day before the exam and we talk of my cousin's marriage, my bank accounts, his father's story, my father's story, his story, my story, my cousin's story, his brother's story, school story, kamal's story, my other cousin's story, vijesh's story, everything to which u can append a 'story'!!! Everything other than parallel computing n computer architecture n cryptography n Software Engineering! Fun, cool and can talk, talk and talk...

As we reached the place, we walked across the sand and chose a place to sit. From then on, we spent the next couple of hours talking..... We spoke about almost everything. About the frequency of visiting beaches, how lengths of beaches are measured,the stupidity of kreedom's climax, how each one's ideal girl should be, how prasad used to beat everyone when he was a kid -- especially girls, why KK keeps asking so many questions, why vijesh gets tensed for everything, how nishanth got such a studious cousin in IIT madras, how the future of godrej is gonna be with siddharth n mukund around, why kd can't remember routes to places, how hari manages to talk to every single female he sees (:P), how does that cool blue thing fly in the air when projected, why the beach in mumbai sucks, why is prasad so interested in Hyderabad suddenly, how two people were sleeping in our bus journey from Trichy, why prasad won't take his parents along when he goes to work, why trichy sucks, why the stalls in NITT are better than the ones in IIT Madras or rather why they alone are better, listing all the possible hang-outs in Chennai, how i reacted to prasad's "is there sea in Dubai??" question ( what a dumb question!! not surprised as those are questions that can be asked only by one person in the whole world!! :P), what is the farthest distance travelled by each on a bike, why Chennai is better than bangalore, why the subjects in this semester are so bad, how prasad got insulted by chakz, the amount of dirt that the clothes we got from college for washing had, how difficult it was for hari to hang them for drying, when is a family said to be ideally composed, what course will the financial crisis take, why isn't there a ring around the moon in chennai, reacting to vijesh's "bhel is such a beautiful place" dialogue, why GRE is such a bad exam, how boring TOEFL is, etc etc!!!
All this with Hariharan's voice crooning 'Nenjukkul Peidhidum' from Vaaranam Ayiram playing in the background, the bells of the people who sell sonpapdi, the gentle noise of breeze gushing from one ear to the other... ONE SMALL FEEL FOR A MAN.
