I came up with my first post last Diwali. It just feels like yesterday when i bought loads of lars and finished bursting within 15 minutes. Long gone are those days when the household was filled with zeal as long as a fortnight to Diwali. More than the festival itself, it is the sweets and the various savouries that matter more to me nowadays. As the enthusiasm for the festival has faded, not has the cliche to take time off everything and stay glued to the TV to watch all the crap they show. I keep jumping to another channel when ads start on one channel. At some point of time,
I realize that ads feature in every channel simultaneously. This is when i get the time to do something else!!! Possibly the only time during which i stay away from the TV.
Buying dresses for Diwali used to be such a great thing to me during my young days. I still remember one such diwali where i wanted a specific t-shirt and i pestered my father to buy it for me. In those days when I can't really delineate between what is good and bad and in the puerile taste and craze for wrestling, I pestered my dad to buy me a t-shirt with a wrestler's face printed on it! And my father talked me out of it and bought me a checked t-shirt. I'm glad now that he did so for I have started hating wrestling so much. Due to peer pressure and the company that i had in school, the so called wrestling mania was at its acme. Not that particular year alone, every year I used to have a predilection for new clothes. I still have it for certain occasions but not with the same intensity. I still shop for new clothes and enjoy doing it but the whole process takes only a few minutes, as compared to those long hours i used to take in pure denial mode for everything.
I'm not very sure how the interest undermined. Diwali no longer fascinates, but the food variety still does. May be I have been pining to eat some good food after accepting the college mess as a place to eat everyday. So as i close my eyes and open it, here I'm posting on the next Diwali. An year has passed by so quickly. Its been an year filled with surprises, disappointments, academic successes, fun, strained relationships, some new friendships. I would call it to be the most dynamic of all the years. Lot of changes have taken place, lof of emotional changes and a different perspective towards life as i set foot onto the final year of college. I have been blogging whenever I had the time to do so. But this blog has also seen absence of posts for more than a couple of months too. Everytime I have a thought running in my mind, I have tried to pen it here. It gives me great joy to write about something that interests or annoys me, so that I can share it with the readers here. I shall continue to write whenever i have something to ruminate over. On this occasion, I thank all my readers and special thanks to those who comment and keep the blog alive!
So here's wishing my blog a happy anniversary! And a very Happy and Safe Diwali to all readers.

No fucking apologies to begin with. Like many other self indulgent works of
art, this blog series also derailed midway due to various random reasons.
